Chicago Has a Royals Fan.

Another Royals Blog By: Tim Pafford

Well, my good friend Audrey made this prediction to kick off 2014:
"The Cubs will not be part of it this year. The Royals will be a wild card and will knock off a major market team in the first round (looking at you, Red Sox or Tigers, lol)
This is coming from a Chicago native who pulls for the Cubs each and every year &  who's also known to root for the Baltimore Oriels.
What a great prediction! Even I did not have as much faith in the Royals.  (Audrey didn't know that the Royals had not been post season at all since 1985 when she made this prediction. I also reminded her that, on paper, the Cubs had been more successful by statistics and standings than the Royals.) But this chick knows her baseball and I would adore seeing her write for www.cubsmix.com.
I was not able to devote nearly as much time as I usually do to this page. Life had been keeping me away.  I had been working at least 6 days a week and family had to be the priority. I was still watching the games (with the sound off and the radio tuned to 610 am) for the vast majority of the season. I was still Tweeting like someone who adored the game. But having time for a full blog of information was just not there this year.
I am sorry to all my faithful readers. I appreciate you all and love when you comment or tell me your thoughts on the team.
