Baseball mourns the loss of Jose Lima. He was well known through out the late 90’s and early 2000’s as an All-Star pitcher and cheer giver of any team he played for. Though his antics would grate the opposing team; those who played with him loved his enthusiasm and cheer. Many stories have been told of Jose being on the top step of the dugout anytime a player made a great play to congratulate and cheer them on. He was also known to do his very best to cheer up those around when they were having a rough time and to remember that baseball is a game and should always be enjoyed.
We will miss your bright light, Jose Lima, but we thank you for every ounce of yourself that you gave to those around you. One can only wish the light you shared will continue to be passed on.
