The Royals get a Cardinal.

 By Tim Pafford

Most fans now know that Rick Ankiel has now been signed with the 2010 Kansas City Royals.  Though he had also been looking into teams such as the Yankees and Marlins, he decided to sign with Kansas City.  This looks be be a great happening for the Royals.
He is a great outfielder with has a strong arm from being a pitcher at the start of his major league career.  Plus, he is a very good batter with many statisticians predicting that his best years are in the future, for they feel he will mature and grow as a ball player.
I hope this is true and he can add positively to the holes the Royals have seen in the offence.  Maybe I did get my wish for a second batter with the hitting ability of Billy Butler.

Go Royals!

  1. We're not sure what we are getting with Ankiel, but considering the Royals lack of payroll spending it is a fairly nice piece.
