Noel Arguelles

By Tim Pafford

We must welcome the newest pitcher for the Royals.  Of course we must.  His singing to the team had even  National News turning its heads.  Arguelles is known for good curve balls and sliders with a fast ball around the 94 MPH mark.  With some major level training he is said to be able to increase this; the only thing he is lacking is full-time control.
The Royals management feel that they will be able to correct any issues he may have and mold him into a great pitcher.  Some have said (though not very loudly) that he may take the Majors by storm and be the "next big thing" to come out of Kansas City.  With team mates like Soria and Greinke he will have a lot to live up to.  But, he will also have a great deal of support and nurturing to guide him.
If Robinson Tejeda continues where he left off last season, and Zack and Joakim stay at thier extreme level of professionalism, the Royals will have pitching as they have been wishing for for nearly a decade now.  All we need now are batters to Billy Butler's level to join the team;  that way we can have an offense to match the excellent pitching
